The other day, a friend of mine asked my why I like to take pictures. My immediate answer was that it was fun for me.
When I got home that night, I thought about the question more and realized there was a deeper reason.
I love to create pictures that people can look at and feel AWESOME about.
I shot pictures for my son’s youth football team this past season and every Monday after games, I would hear the kids talking how they looked in the pictures that I took.
A few of them would actually come up to me and said thank you. Parents would come up and say thank you as well.
A kid on my daughters softball team came and told me that she and her dad sit up and look thru the photos and make a event out of it. I know, major heart warming event!
When shooting people, its all about making them look beautiful/handsome. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a person elated by a photo.
Its a moment in time that last a lifetime. This is why I shoot and will continue to shoot.
